The sand dunes in Death Valley National Park. A favorite place to visit and photograph. The hike into the dunes can be quite strenuous due to the heat and the soft sand. Start the hike in the dark and wait for the sun to come up on the horizon to capture wonderful compositions. I took this with a 4×5 film camera and a heavy tripod. For the day, I had a total 12 exposures with me, a very different experience from digital today.
