On my way to the Hoh Rain Forest in the Olympic Peninsula, I spotted this tree with the rain-soaked fern and moss. It had been drizzling for the better part of the day, cold and somewhat unwelcoming. Sometimes, these are the best times to capture a delicate image. Without any harsh light, the details are wonderfully rendered.
